Breed grooming guide
Labradoodle grooming
Labradoodles are big, bouncy and usually filthy after a Cheshire walk. Their coats look effortless when groomed well, but a fleece or wool coat left too long can mat quickly and become uncomfortable.
The coat
Understanding the Labradoodle coat
Fleece coats are soft and wavy; wool coats are dense and curly like a Poodle; hair coats are closer to a Labrador and shed more. Most Labradoodles need a full groom every six weeks or so, with more frequent visits for longer styles.
- Coat type
- Fleece, wool or hair coat; low to non-shedding
- How often
- Every 4 to 8 weeks
- We recommend
- Full Groom
