Breed grooming guide
Bichon Frise grooming
A well-groomed Bichon, bright white and perfectly rounded, is a joy. Getting that look takes skilled scissoring and a coat that's kept free of mats.
The coat
Understanding the Bichon Frise coat
Bichons have a soft undercoat beneath a curly outer coat, which traps shed hair and mats easily. White coats also show tear and saliva staining.
- Coat type
- Dense, curly, white double coat; low-shedding
- How often
- Every 4 to 6 weeks
- We recommend
- Full Groom
